Australian Boulder opal, Silver and 18ct Gold Signet Ring, Size Q

This ring was a real passion project of mine. I made it over 6 month. The opal used in it has some sentimental value. The ring is made from many layer and the 18ct gold is inlayed into the silver. The opal is also inlayed into the silver and then set with the 18ct gold.

The reason the opal is sentimental is because it was  from my first ever opal hoard! This was back in 2018 and at this point I have never seen a boulder opal.

I ended up in Canberra, Australia, for surgery. After breaking my collar snowboarding in the Australian ski resort.
I was walking around the city when I went into this random jewellery shop. The owner used to be an Opal miner. He had a load of loose boulder opals. It was literally like pick and mix. I was in heaven. Had never seen a gem this amazing before!!!

I brought a handful of them, and that's where it all began. The opals I brought inspired my first ever collection of jewellery!!

I have been saving these opal for something special and here it is!!! This ring is made from silver with solid 18ct gold inlayed init.

 It is size Q!!
